According to a recent IEA report, energy efficiency in industrial performance accounted for over 50 percent of resilience to price fluctuations in 2025, which are expected to rise.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n These fluctuations\/variability mainly result from <\/span>gas price volatility, which has increased by 40 percent in the EU since 2022,<\/span><\/strong>\u00a0as well as because of a greater share of generation from intermittent renewables. A striking thing is that the perception is that energy efficiency is critical to maintain competitiveness.
